Production of the Local Plan
Working with the Strategic Planning department at Winchester City Council to design the 2019-2039 Winchester District Local Plan.
The document includes detailed information that is being put forward for public consultation. The document is designed working closely with the team to ensure that it is clear and understandable to the public for this important stage of the process. The document will then be released to the public for engagement. Next stages will be to collate and analyse data ready to progress from the draft stage and lead towards the adoption of the Local Plan with updates and revisions during these stages.
Interactive
An important element was ensuring that the document was available online and could be downloaded and read by all members of the community. Ensuring that the document was interactive and navigation was clear to move around the document to the users preference was an important element in the ease of use of the document. Icons were created to navigate from one section to another and back again. In particular in the Development Allocation sections where from the map you can navigate straight to the development area and back, if desired to do so.
Consultation campaign materials
On production of the document a series of marketing material were produced to entice engagement and evoke a response to future shape the plan:
- Social media posts
- News paper advertising
- Bus stop 6 sheet adverts
- Posters in various sizes for direct distribution
- Large format posters at various sites across the district
- Infographics for public information updates
- Exhibition board for public consultation events
- Local plan contact and survey information – Business card
- Internal/ external promotion with messaging on email – banner adverts
